A Stained Friendship
18 March, 2005
Author: Mandy
Your laugh and your smile
your joy, and your pain,
they are all worth while
and give me much to gain.
Your someone I call beyond great pleasure.
When my song of life has lost its all
you take that verse to a new measure.
I hate to see you frown
when your smile is so much better.
Don’t let the bumps of life get you down,
cause we’ll walk this path forever together.
I won’t let you fall, and I won’t let you stumble,
friendships like ours are meant to be humble.
I will never leave your side
so you can count on me to be there,
I look at you only with great pride
while others enviously stare.
Who you are today will always be the same
and since equality plays a part
I shall never hold a grudge of shame.
A friendship like ours will remain stained in my heart.
I love you just the way you are,
your personality and its each individual part.
As time ticks away, I think, hope and pray
that nothing will tear our friendship apart,
and together, best friends we will stay.
