The Miracle Of You
10 March, 2004
Author: Bench
I was never somebody before you came
My life was nothing but shame
Listless and insecure I have been
Nothing to live for, never so keen.
Going round and round, never stopping
Never gathering moss, never rooting.
No direction to take, neither here nor there
I have been alone, people never care.
My life was staring right at me in the face
Yet everything was in a haze
I am living yet I was dead
All reason from this being I shed.
And now you’ve changed me
You have made me see
Picking up the pieces of my life
My being to peace from strife.
Now I find meaning in all of these
In life I have a new lease
You’ve loved me and made me whole
You’ve overhauled my soul.
You’re my cool wind on a hot summer’s day,
My heart’s beat, my sun’s ray.
Now you are my life’s love
The miracle sent by above!
