Defending Dragon
25 March, 2005
Author: Andrew James Ball
Scared voices call to thee in the night
For they need thy help now
Awaken and fulfill thy oath
As had thy promised long a go.
Stretch and feel life run in thy veins again
Drink much before task be done.
Wings of old
Fail thee not
For tonight shall thy sail the sky.
Spread thy wings and take flight
Show all thy might tonight
Let all see thee and presences be known.
Scare not the children, but evil.
Evil that comes to claim them.
May thy love of all things good
Be enough to conquer this foul thing
That purges the night.
Use thy claws that can cut the vial between worlds
To fight this thing
Before innocent bloods be shed.
If all else fails
Use thy breath of flame
To burn away the negative
That haunts the night.
Save all that thee can save
Forget all that which be not flesh.
Now evil been driven off by thee
And with children safe in bed
Return home to thy cave
Until thee be summoned again.
