I Can't Wish You Back
29 March, 2005
Author: Terrie*
final good bye..
as I stand there
feeling the heaviness
of my broken heart
I can't wish you back
a final good bye
as I think of the times
you were the breath
beneath my wings
I am forced to say farewell
good times long gone
with one final good-bye
this time my heart
has been broken and shattered
love and all that mattered
was taken away
the closest I can come to you
are my melted tears
as I sift and reminise
through our life
as your loving wife
