One Lifeless Soul.....
30 March, 2005
Author: Terrie*
I realize breaking
the cement around my heart
wasn't an easy thing
for you to do
yet you stayed
until every bit was''
chiseled away
so cold and so heartless
I stood for years
an ice princess
that only felt the love of one man
and kept it frozen and preserved when he died
then you came along
and placed me
in front of you
and melted that heaviness away
you stood holding my heart in your hand
I felt that special touch
that meant so much
just by one soft tender touch
a few true warm words
that came from your eyes that caressed me
your soft lips whispered
warm words that penetrated deep
where I never allowed another man to touch
your touch allowed me to abandon
the lifeless soul that I was
you didn't critisize me for standing still
in a life that didn't move on
what you showed me
was what life could feel like
if I allowed love
to live once again deep in my heart
day by day
with you at my side
I became the woman
I hid for so long
and I did that
only beccause
it was your love
that I chose to accept into my heart
thank you Babe'
for the awesome feeling
of your one of a kind sensitive love
that has thawed this lifeless heart of mine..
with the warmth of your love
melted the cement like ice
------- Author's Notes -------
to all whom may at one time put love on hold...until someone special showed you.. you had so much love left to give... |
