"I had that bad dream again, the one where daddy is mean"
"Why did Daddy throw us, Mommy"?
"Mommy, don't Daddy love us?"
"Yes, Jared but Daddy is mad, we just have to stay out of his way!"
"Well why does Daddy break my toys?"
"Honey Daddy just gets mad when we don't put them away".
"But mommy I was still playing with them".
"Daddy didn't mean to baby, he is sick".
"Why does Daddy yell so much"?
"So we will listen I guess".
"Well why did Daddy push me off of our porch".
"It really hurt my head Mommy".
"Daddy said you tripped going down the steps".
"No, no, no, no Mommy he really pushed me".
"Please don't tell on me Mommy".
"Tell who baby"?
"Don't tell Daddy, Mommy cause he will throw you next".
"Come here baby let Mommy hold you".
"I'm sorry Mommy".
"What are you sorry for honey"?
"I'm sorry that I am stupid little crybaby".
"No baby you are not a crybaby, you are mommy's big man".
"Well Daddy said I am a stupid crybaby".
"Well Daddy is stupid, you are perfect".
"Mommy did Daddy make your lip bleed"?
"Mommy is ok baby".
"Hurry Mommy get in here, Daddy will never find us in here".
"I can't right now sweetie, Mommy has to cook supper for Daddy".
"Please no more fights tonight Mommy is exhausted".
"Mommy why did Daddy throw his plate at you"?
"And his glass of milk too"?
"Let's just go to bed Mommy, maybe Daddy will feel better in the morning".
"Mommy can't sleep with you tonight baby".
"But I am scared Mommy Why can't you sleep with me".
"Daddy says so".
"Mommy, Mommy please stand up"?
"Mommy why are you crying".
"I didn't mean to cry Mommy I just wanted you to lay down with me".
"Daddy shut your mouth Mommy is hurt bad".
"Why did you hurt Mommy"?
"Shut up we are going to the hospital alright".
"Mommy I am so scared".
"It's alright baby Mommy is alright".
"No Mommy you are broke, who is going to fix you"?
"The doctor will baby, but let's tell the doctor that mommy fell down ok"?
"'Cuse me ms. Nurse maim my poor Mommy is broked"
"Can you fix her before my little heart breaks in my chest"?
"Sure sweetie would you like a sticker"?
"Uh no thanks can you just fix my Mommy"?
"Mommy please can I go with you"?
"Baby Mommy has to get an X-ray"
"But Mommy please".
"You stand right here with Daddy and Mommy will be right back"
"Mommy, Mommy I am so scared, Mommy don't go"!
"Mommy what does broked ribs means "?
"It just means Mommy will be sore for a while sugar".
"Can I still hug my bestest Mommy"?
"Yes, but very gently please".
"Mommy I'll hold your hand so you don't fall going in the house".
"Mommy did you know Daddy took our car and left".
"Yes baby let Mommy sweep and mop the floor then we will go to bed".
"Are we safe now Mommy"?
"Yes we are safe now baby".
"Mommy is sorry honey and Mommy loves you very much".
"I love you too Mommy".
"Hey Mommy I have a great idea".
"What is your idea sweet pea"?
"You can sleep with me tonight".
"Just so I can protect both of us Mommy"!!

Oh My GOSH!
Ahhh.....! I'm in class almost wanting to cry because of that......! Thats great you 2 are moving on I hope you did. Because if not that would be horrid. I will keep you in my prayers always. May you and your son always be blessed by Jesus and you Angels always watch you! as I said have a wonderful day. Sad poem but also great! I cannot help but cry when I read this...I feel so angry and so sad for you.There is only some much that people around us that can help.We have to make the first step by ourselves.And you have taken the first step.Don't stop there,what ever you do.My heart goes out to you and your son.Always thinking of you both,xxx

thanks so much for taking the time to read and reflect on my poetry this is an actual day in the life of my marriage and though it is over now I still feel the shame and bruises very deeply I came here looking for some solace and that's what i have found thanks guys u rock
