as i sit here

staring at the phone
i wonder if it will ever ring
and if i answered it
will you be the one calling for me

i try to fall into a slumber
i wonder will i be able to hold on
without your smile??

as i apply my make up
i look deep into the mirror
and i wonder
if you are somehow smiling back at me
i quietly listen to a song
we heard as kids

and i wonder if you too
have ever re-lived those precious memories
many times i wonder
if my heart will ever be free
of pain and misery
and accept what you got

today i will lay
the love from my heart at your door
and cry a little
cry alot
and smile with your angel
as i walk away
i ask her to take care of you
cause your the only baby sister i got
