Another London Day
6 April, 2005
Author: Taylor James
Morning I said with one open and one eye closed,
Back under the sheets I go
When im yawning
Toast is burning
Orange juice is pouring into the flow
Dogs are barking
Children are screaming
Only one week to go
Brush my teeth
Wash my face
Going into the unknown
Kids begging
For 1 more pound
Greediness is what they’ve found
The sun is shining
Yet snow is pouring
What a typical London day

Meridian (205.188.116.203) -- Friday, April 8 2005, 05:25 pm Your poem reminds me of a story in that book. Have you ever heard of Uncle Arthur's? The story is similar, the children imploring, in this case, instead of the dog barking, the chickens are squawking and so forth. You could write chapter after chapter of this. This must be the introduction, because your fingers are on fire, when you typed this, it's just that GOOD! ---Meri |
