A Walk To Remember
8 April, 2005
Author: Silent Witness
My walk to remember ended to soon
It started one august
Ended the next June
We were best friends
Perfect for each other
We healed and protected and loved one another
Each the other's true soul mate
Each the other's forever fate
Until we made that horrid mistake
We vowed forever
We exchanged rings
Our anthem was sang
The applause rang
Mr. and Mrs. We're now named
With garters flung and roses thrown
It was over who could have known
The honeymoon brought fights
Misery followed pain
Proof that our vows before God were in vain
Nothing left of us you see
Only him and only me
Our feeble attempt ended in shame
And left me seeking to regain
My maiden name
