Drowning..
10 April, 2005
Author: Mike
The water flooding through my nose,
The force so strong my mouth can't close.
The liquid pouring down my throat
As I struggle in vain to stay afloat.
In a flash of rememberance, I recall a bridge.
I know I jumped off, into the water's edge.
I remember the weight of my clothes dragging me down.
I remember remembering all of the frowns.
In a moment of flashbacksm I recall the past.
The moments which for days they seemed to last.
The day a loved one almost died.
The webs of emotions I've struggled to hide.
None of this matters anymore.
I'm dying now, knocking on Death's door.
From the pain of death comes the relief of escape,
As finally my fears have lost their shape.
