I heard what you said
when you were telling them about the scar on your head
you know I know the truth
and they too could smell spousal abuse

I have been your friend for a good lenth of time
spousal abuse is a crime
your child came running to me
I felt her shaking caint you see

it is affecting her in the worst way
I know it isn't my place to say
but the heart of a child makes it well known
you need help pick up that phone

are you waiting for someone to call C.P.S
then you will be in an awful mess
try tearing a child away from her home
all because you protected her mom
well who is going to protect her
when you are gone
who was there to protect Little Leigh
open your eyes and listen to her heart if not to me

years have gone by and you said she will get the help
are you going to wait another year
and watch while your only child ends up in an urn sitting on your shelf

how many more tears does a child have to shed
before you get it through your head
or she winds up dead
tell me how many tears
will she have to shed??

before her blood sheds and stains on you?
