Heart Of Glass
11 April, 2005
Author: Mike
A heart of glass I hold inside -
Easy to shatter, but hard to hide.
It's been broken so many times
A network of scars runs over it's veins.
A heart of glass under my skin,
Like a bird in a cage it cannot sing.
Songs of joy it long's to shae
Instead of hate stolen from Satan's lair.
A heart of glass inside my mind,
Any joy I feel it quickly binds.
Never releasing its tight grip
As my life is cut away - snip, snip.
