One More Mile

My roads been long
with many a trial
But now I’ve got,
just one more mile

One more mile,
then I’m through
just one more mile,
till I’m with you.

You were there for me
when I needed to talk
now one more mile,
for you I’ll walk.

Just one more mile
and I’m there
just one more mile,
because you care.

You were faithful
when all faith was gone
now one more mile,
I will carry on.

One more mile
is all that’s left
one more mile,
step by step.

And when I was weak,
you always were strong,
now one more mile
doesn’t seem as long.

Just one more mile,
then I’m through
just one more mile
because I love you.

In just a while
my walk will end
just one more mile,
for you my friend.

One more mile
I have to go
just one more mile,
then you’ll know.

Of those I love,
I love you most
now one more mile,
I’m getting close

One more mile
is all I can see,
just one more mile
till you’re with me.

In years to come,
when I am old
as I look back
at this troubled road.

I’ll hear your voice
and see your smile,
it’s for you I’ve walked
this one more mile.

One more mile
my race is won,
and my one more mile
is finally done.
