Waiting With My Heart Out
12 April, 2005
Author: SweetVenom
I took my heart out,
To let it sprout,
My body decayed with hatred,
While I searched for love.
Awaiting a distant call,
From a lost pal,
I gazed at the orange skies,
Hoping to hear her voice, over the skies.
As evening was drawing to a close,
With oxygen increasing around,
I saw the chirping birds returning home,
And my heart was beaming ‘red’ with blood.
With a lump in my stomach,
I returned home along the path,
Filled with muck,
I tumbled and fell in the dark.
As the morning dew woke me up,
I was surrounded with fragrant flowers,
Realizing the candles that glowed around,
I felt my body numb and without life.
Still waiting for her to come to me,
I felt my arms stretched wide,
Towards the open skies,
I could feel her pull me up, close to her.
