Fear Of The Future by Mike

They say I look and sound like him.
Does that mean I'll commit his sins?
Will I love my kids too much?
Will I give more then a fatherly touch?

They say we think and act the same.
For this, are we both to blame?
Even so, will I do what he has done?
Will I have some 'harmless' fun?

Someone tell me if I'll be
The side of my father few can see.
Will I follow in his steps?
Or will my hands by my side be kept?

Look into your crystal ball.
See my future and tell me all.
Tell me the person I will becom,
But if you tell me I'm him, the time has come.

Not meaning to get too psychlogical, afterall, this isn't my territroy, But people tend to do things such as that based on their upbringing, and young life, being full of neglect.. All I can say is with friends like us, we'll try and never make you twisted and neglected like that? Also, think about your views on the other person, that we both know, who's done things vaguely of that nature...your reaction to him was very negative, so you're not like that. I hope this doesn't offend you, I'm trying to help. :) My, I'm going on alot, but very good poem.

Mike, there's no doubt. Think about what he's done and stuff, ask yourself.. Would you ever do that? I know in my heart what the answer is, whats your answer? When you figure that out, which you will in about 2 seconds.. You'll know you won't be like him.
