Goodnight my little one
lay to rest your weary head
and i will pray angels beside your bed
to pour upon you soft moonlight
and to keep you warm in the cool of the night
Goodnight sweet babe
now close your tired eyes
and i will pray angels to sing you lulabies
to fill your dreams with wonderous things
with unicorns, butterflies, and candy canes
Goodnight my lamb
now have no fear
for i will pray angels to be near
to comfort you if you should weap
goodnight little one, off to sleep

My 4 year old cousin was afraid of the dark so i wrote this to comfort her at bed time. |
