Forgive Or Forget

He said he'd never hurt me
He said he'd never leave me
He said he'd never ever hurt me like I'd been in the past
With-in time those words faded and he began to grow apart
apart from me to another girl,
Another girl prettier, smarter, older, and funner then me
Do I forgive or forget?
Forgive him for those lies he promised me
Or should I forget and just move on?
Now he's back,
back saying the same things
He'll never hurt me again
He'll never leave me again
He'll never ever hurt me like I'd been
Do I forgive or Forget?
Do I let him back into my heart and trust him
trust him to those promises he had once broken before?
For now, until I find the true answer
The real answer to forgive or forget
The eternal question that lingers over me is do I
Do I forgive or Forget?
