You Learned To Walk Away
15 April, 2005
Author: Terrie*
her voice on the phone
didn't mention anything was wrong
when you got home you found out
she can not be with you
her love for him is not new
she never mentioned it before
but she doesn't want to share your life anymore
while you were away
in his bed she lay every day
when you got home it was your bed they shared
your heart was not spared
your an understanding man
you knew she was once in love with this man
you agreed
after this you and her could never be
it's happen once to you before
and your heart caint take one more
yet somehow you already knew
that you and her were through
good-byes are hard to say
so you learned to just walk away
------- Author's Notes -------
these are the words that i heard when my friend's heart...when he recently shared his heart with me...after the girl he was gonna marry dropped a bomb on him..but ...he had a gut feelin' about it tooo...a very close friend told me not to get too emotionally involved with his pain..but he is my friend...and friends are there for one another..no matter what... |
