My Wonderful Mistake

You'll never know it's me crying these tears
You'll never know it's me wishing you were here
A fake smile, hiding behind a sea of pain
A fake laugh, a smile so tame

You'll never know it's me, wanting you the same
You'll never know it's me, believing it's me to blame
I see you down the road, laughing and smiling away
I take a look in the mirror, wondering why i can't do the same

Watching the same old movies
Listening to the same old songs
Things we used to do...
when it was you and I

Pouring my heart out onto paper
Blood red is all i see
The stars don't even come out anymore for me

I used to pray everynight for you to find love
I used to pray to the heavens that I'd rise above
All this pain and agony
Wishing I could be free

I see now that it isn't for me

Everysong I hear, I hear our story
of love conquering all, and all the glory

My first love, my first mistake, never ending pain, heart stabbing words

I'll love you forever if that's what it takes
I'll love you 'til the day i die..

My wonderful mistake
