Childhood Circus
18 April, 2005
Author: Mike
The clowns are crying their silent tears.
The tigers roar their woeful screams.
The trapeze artists keep missing the catch.
Those pies have gone off, make a new batch!
The horses trip as they prance about.
The rats are so numerous I've lost count.
The sparkling costumes cannot be found.
The escape artist remains in tight ropes bound.
The glass of water is way too small.
The jump from the platform too high to fall.
I stand in the background, amid all this fracas
And welcome my guests to my chldhood circus.

This metaphor is outstanding, I'd never have thought of something like this. Your imagination is way more calculating than most. You've really amazed me, I love this poem. I love it. |
