If
19 April, 2005
Author: Ing Twi Demalah
If the world had i to give
and in the midst of eden live
or priceless pearl in my hand did hold
and were to me ancient mysteries told
or with words a rose i could make bloom
and weave a sunrise on godly loom
or could travel to stars in the blink of an eye
and on wings of gold could fly
or could command an ocean breeze
and sail crystal ships accross silvery seas
or had wealth that i could never spend
and halt the sun that the day not end
If all of this and more i could do
it would mean to me nothing,
IF i did not have you.

I was looking through your list of writes to see if the piece of beautiful poetry you included in your kind comment today on "Old and Alone" was from one of your posted poems. I discovered "If" instead. It's so beautiful that I had to stop to comment on it. The comment title seems relevant because it's a great discovery which I wasn't looking for. It's miraculous. I'm at a loss for an adequate word for your work, and thanks for the comment! -Bipe |
