Can't Say No
3 February, 2003
Author: Clarissa Heller
Lord where is my conscience,
do I have any at all?
Because even when I know what's right,
I always seem to fall.
Where is my wisdom,
cuz there's things I don't know.
Losing sight of who I am,
getting weaker as I grow.
Do I have the power within,
to sometimes just say no?
Because it seems I have no strength,
as I hide behind the blow.
Where do I go from here,
will it turn out in the end?
Because I hide shaking in the corner,
scared of what life will send.
Hoping I'll become a woman,
and carrry my life in my own hand.
Directing and shaping it my way,
so it's something I understand.
Give me control on all my weaknesses,
and don't let me be some slave.
Because if I don't take my life back,
I'll end up in a grave!

Barb (67.58.204.231) -- Thursday, July 26 2007, 01:03 pm I am weak when it comes to saying no. I'm 53 years old and use my kids as an excuse sometimes. When asked for something I just blame the kids and say no sorry but my kids told me not to do that.ha ha You can use your parents or husband or anyone as an excuse, that way you aren't saying no but your kids,or someone else is saying no. |
