How Much Love Can One Heart Hold?
22 April, 2005
Author: Terrie*
do you ever wonder
just how much love
one heart can hold?
if your heart feels
as small as mine
believe me
it can hold more that you thought
you see
I once held love
for just one special man
when death took him away
the love in my heart remaind
sure it got shattered and badly bruised
but..
love remaind strong and stayed
then after so many years
love came back to me
I hold in my heart
far more love for this man
as I waste not
what I can give away
love kept building up
when I promised God
that love was the only thing
I had to give away for free
for sharing his love with me
my heart
small as can be
the size of both my fists
yet it holds a lot of love
for me
I hold love in my heart
for a man I married and passed on
I hold love in my heart
for the man whom is now my life
plus it can hold the love for my children
and others in my life
my heart can hold so much love
and it doesn't weigh me down
