My Sailor Boy
25 April, 2005
Author: Terrie*
while you were over seas
we shared a moment on the phone
I was listening to the life
you pictured and had laid out for us
a life I always dreamed of
where someone came along
and carried me off my feet
that life was my fantasy
and my dream
but a fantasized dream
waiting to come true
for me and you..
the navy is presently your life
but still you asked me to become your wife
someday you say
tomorrow will be today
plans we will make
a step towards love we will take
a child in so many ways am I
for happiness to make me cry
the biggest change in my life will take place
no more rainbows and silver linings to chase
because the love i need and dreamed of is coming true
forever and always
I will spend this life loving you
