Runaway
25 April, 2005
Author: Mandy Steder
In the slums of Chicago
a teenage walks
so sick of the lectures-
os sick of the talks.
Thinking she can make it
all on her own,
he walks with her bags,
so tired and alone.
No call to her mother,
to tell her she's okay.
she puts it off
yet another day.
Posters with her picture
and numbers to call
the sees on trees
and begins to bawl.
She just wants to go home
but doesnt know how.
its just something she wont do-
its something she wont allow.
