Within Another's Mind

Author: Mike
She lay on the bed, arms bound tight.
Leering faces stare in the dark of the night.
Torn clothes thrown in a pile on the floor.
Her eyes look frantic as she glances at the door.
The man between her legs grunts and moans,
As high on drugs, in and out she zones.
One after another, they each have their fill
Before moving back, ready for the kill.
One pulls out a blade, sharp as can be.
Sliding it up her flesh as she looks on madly.
The first cut is made, and now they cry.
They cry for more blood, for her to die.
They cut off her breast, dropping it to the ground.
Slicing the other before moving to her mound.
There it is inserted, deep within her skin,
Cutting away hair as the blood starts dripping.
Her screams are inaudible over the sounds of the men
As they watch her bleed, they laugh. But then
The room is silent, and she utters her final sound -
A low guttural cry, and her head drops down.
The men file out, all but subdued,
Their lust for sex and blood fulfilled.
Each man sleeps with a smile on her face,
No one mourning for the woman with no name.
------- Author's Notes -------
This poem is a metaphor.. It speaks of the innocence that has been destroyed within me. This isn't how it happened, but this is what came to mind when trying to explain. |
