Forced Surrender
26 April, 2005
Author: Lyrical
She tries do hard to fight her feelings
Of desertion, despairation, neglect, yearning
And loneliness-
Not that she alone,
Just feeling left out.
No one can see past her battle scars.
On the outside, she's fearless.
Conquering any obstacle before her.
Giving no second thought to the uncertain fate
Already awaiting her.
She knows suffering all too well.
Misery is just a walk in the park.
Death is her only certainty.
No one can see past the cold eyes and empty stares
To find the girl who's lost inside of herself.
She's spent her whole life dying,
As a prisoner of someone else's circumstance.
She mourns for a lover
Who has not died yet.
While living for one who does not yet exist.
She stands,
Staring into a broken mirror
Trying to piece her life back together.
But the memories cut so deep,
That by the time
Every piece is in its place,
She's already drowned in her own blood...
