True Love Will Never Be.
28 April, 2005
Author: Spinelli
Time and again she finds herself overwhelmed with thoughts of lonliness.
Nobody there for her to hold,
nobody there for her to snuggle up to,
nobody there to brush strands of her plum brown hair off her face.
Over and over, she thinks of a non-existent special someone.
The stolen kisses and the comforting hugs,
the slow dances they'll have under the sparkly diamond sky,
will let her know she's not alone.
Imagination running wild,
a subtle smile slowly appears.
She then gets snapped back into reality in no time,
and the smile that rarely shows disappears.
In the cold, empty room,
she envisages life filled with love and laughter once again.
As the first teardrop rolls down her scarred cheek,
she is reminded by the burning sensation of how true love will never be.
