Pixel World
1 May, 2005
Author: Holly
In a world so superficial, can you really blame me?
For wanting to spend my days in front of a computer screen.
I've met people I can identify with, people who can save me,
A contrast to the "real world" so self-absorbed and mean.
They're all real people anyway, just further apart,
So what if I've never seen them in the flesh?
They've all got personalities, which is surely what matters,
Their friendship to me, means no less.
I'd live in a pixel world, if only I could,
How can something feel so good when you're telling me it's bad?
Fate made them my friends, I'll believe that 'til I die,
Made them part of the life I've never really had.

This poem illustrates the value I place on internet friendships. |

Meri (172.166.203.21) -- Monday, May 2 2005, 12:29 am Pixel World! You know Holly, thanks to you, you just added another word to my vocabulary. The word pixel. So you've met an internet friend? Well, that's nice. Sometimes typing is better than talking in person, because you lose what you want to say at times. Extravagant, professor a.k.a scholar! |
