I Love Her
2 May, 2005
Author: Mark Spencer
She wakes me in the morning with a kiss.
A gift I will never grow weary of.
What could I have done to deserve such bliss?
My life is so completely filled with love.
Together she and I do everything,
She still loves me, though I can be a grouch.
And when I’m wrong she won’t say anything,
She just cuddles up with me on the couch.
I tell her she’s the Sunshine of my life,
She always knows, on me, she can depend.
And she’s been there in good times and in strife,
To let me know that she is my best friend.
Every evening when we go for our jog,
I’m reminded how much I love that dog.

This is dedicated to my black Lab, Sunshine. The best dog a man could hope for. |
