my heart tells me
it's time to move on
you caint wait
for a heart
you caint see

that’s never gonna be

touch what is real
because sometimes
what you think you feel
blows away
in the first wind

my heart tells me
listen to me
I am your very heart
please no more of silent abuse
if he caint promise you a day
he caint promise you a lifetime

there is only one so powerful
that you caint see
that cain promise you
all your heart desires

if you just listen to me
I am your heart
quash all the promises
that you heard

as you know
they have already been broken
way before they were spoken

listen to me
I am tryin'
to keep us alive
love is still out there waiting to give
open your eyes like me

wev've been alone
way too long
we need someone
to take care of us
now
