Whats Love?

Standing here all alone
the happiness i want wont un-fold
it stays deep inside
only knowing how to hide.

12 years of hidden love
forbidden feelings i see
flying free like a dove.

maternal feelings were never there
all i do is sit and bare.
never felt love from you before
all this time, from when i was 4.

Wanting to feel like i belong
all the love you had has just gone.

I still see the sparkle in your eyes,
when you daughter passes you by
why dont the sparkles appear
when its only me who is near?

Do you understand how i feel
when you love them but forget me?
12 years have gone by
all this time just seems to fly.

All these years of hidden love
what did i do?
what did i put you through?

good question

I guess it's that tingly feeling you get on the inside, that makes you float like a cloud. We all need a little lovin' (lol) I think it was stanza five, where you talk about how there used to be a sparkle in his eyes and how it's gone now... It's indeed sad when the twinkle and the magic goes away within the snap of a finger, you know? Then, there's the question, what happened? Love is so unique, so powerful, so real, so true, so I lost my words... Darn good poem TJ!
