Our Minds Together
7 May, 2005
Author: Clive B Ringshall
Still in bed I caught you’re kiss,
Sharing our love I know you’ll miss,
No words spoken as you close the door,
I hear your car drive slowly away,
Did you think that this would be the day?
As you drove did anticipation follow?
Thoughts of us together that will be missed,
Each day we grew together knowing it was wrong,
Each day we held tight knowing it was right,
Our loves passed the boundary of no return,
It started in fun,
Friends we soon became,
It followed on to lovers night after night,
We stayed together till morning we woke,
Then separate ways till the darkness closed,
Again and again we met to be,
To end this way I it will not,
I know this by the tear in you’re eye,
And the break in my heart,
A knock at the door,
You returned to me,
I ask this time, are you going to stay?
