Mothers Day 2005
8 May, 2005
Author: Clive B Ringshall
On this day we blended as one,
On this day we two became one,
Then a mum you’ve become,
So proud you feel,
Many sleepless nights,
Those cut and bruises you’re also a nurse,
The wining and complaining
That followed each precious year,
Grounded they were much more than once,
The phone was their life,
We should have had two,
I remember you were always there,
I remember you’re hug kept them secure,
No other but you could tuck them in,
The story’s you told kept them wanting more,
Your voice so gentle,
Mine was kept to toe the invisible line.
I thank you for all those times now past,
I thank you for the tomorrows to come,
Did I tell you?
I love you with ever beat of my heart,
Did I tell you,
I’m glad you’re my wife,
I wish you today and every one that follows,
A happy mother’s day,
That started with a kiss,
Then we blended as one,
Then you become a mum.
