Once
1 February, 2004
Author: Clive B Ringshall
I gave my love, I gave my heart,
I gave myself,
How was I to know?
The love was to be misused,
The heart would be crushed,
Myself would not learn
I see good in everything,
I trust in everyone
Only to leave my defences down,
Only to heal another heartbreak,
Only to start over,
Will it ever end?
Will I find that love?
Was she made for me?
The last time, I stopped loving,
I stopped feeling,
I did not like me,
It was not me; Please be me,
Feel again; Love another,
Be true take another chance
