Black Rose
14 May, 2005
Author: Kealsye N J Fahey
I sit in the night listening to the rain,
And watch the shadows dance across my walls.
Among these shadows a black rose stands out.
It used to be red but has long since died,
Just like my feelings for you.
It has wilted and died by the neglect of an other.
I had wilted and my soul died because of the love you so somenly took away from me.
I stare at this rose and wonder,
Could this have been avoided?
Could I have saved this roses life,
or would I have failed just like I had when I tried to with You and I?
I will cry one single tear,
For I have cried one to many already.
But I guess its finally time for me to throw that rose away.
Because once again in my heart you creep.
You fill me with a hollowness that purtrudes through my heart.
I cant stand the grief of another failure.
For each of my relationships have wilted and died.
A black rose is my life and there is a story beneath every black petal.
