From My Soul To My Eyes
16 May, 2005
Author: Shan
Even when I'm dreaming depression's flexing my mind
Every second is seeming like a test of the times
You can only hear me scream in the text of my rhymes
cause it's a special of mine
to keep my stress up inside
That's until I'm fed up with trying
to seem like I'm fine
And get it all up in lines that define
the mess between your heart and mine
Nothings as complex as the thoughts of a mind
As I lay one lesson to rest, the next is in line
Am I making the best with my pace?
Or is it a waiste of my time?
I'm just patiently waiting to face
the ways of my crazed mind
With all this weight on my chest
I'm falling straight from my faiths high,
Right to the next stage, the break and the cries,
That's when I flip to the next page
and begin to describe the pain i'm in
as to much to hide, yet it remains
to hard to touch the feelings inside
I can flow forever, so I'll go until I die
but you'll only see what I can get from my soul to my eye
