Sunlight
17 May, 2005

Sitting here on the roof, what must they think of me?
Sunbathing?
What superficial desires one must have, to want a tan.
There's hardly any blood left inside, to colour his pale skin o' mine.
Ahh, everything looks so beautiful today.
Everything is drenched in sunlight.
It drips off the leaves.
Everything coated in gold.
"If only it could be this good forever."
Was what I used to say.
But maybe it can.
If I end it here.
I'll die happy.
I'm going to meld with the earth today.
So I can forget my mind.
Oh the sky is so pure and blue.
And so is the water, tickled by the breeze.
The leaves are such a vibrant green.
The winds sighes with me, feels my pain.
Oh, so beautiful.
And even I feel beatiful today.
I'm coated in gold.
I can feel the ugly inside of me dying away.
And ohh, it won't be the only thing.
So I'll jump down, I'll hit the ground.
And everything will be just fine.
I've got a sense of freedom in me today.
No shackles to hold me this time.
Why can't life be as pure as the sky?
------- Author's Notes -------
I just feel so briefly happy when I see the sun. It makes me sad that that feeling never stays with me. |
