if I pulled my heart out
and threw it up into the sky
would you catch it
before it hit the ground?

if it became shattered
would you mend it
and nourish it back to life?

if I was lost
would you take me home
put me to bed
and hold me deep into the night?

if I fell in love with you
would you love me
as I love you?

if I died
would you take the time
to remember my soul?

when I'm gone
would you take care of my memory?
