Defending

When we are attacked.We defend.
We learn as childhood experiences how to pretend.

We are to small to physically fight them.
We don't want to harm, just want to let them know we
are frightened.

So we choose a weapon to defend.
Not a knife or gun.
We choose our tongue.

No mess.
But works the best.

Hi Barb,

i can vouch for that, for so long i was this naive lil' thing..until i got pushed around and stepped on so many times, no one there to defend me my husband had already pased away, taken about all i could for 2 years, so i got fearless and my tongue became sharp, amazin' how much strength and guts we gain from within, when we feel invaded of our space, my husbands death made me strong it had to, i had no one to protect and provide for my children and i.
( sometimes i fell bad as my words come out stronger than a fist or that of a knife as i know what it feels like to get kicked in the gut, cause i'm one to get my feelings hurt quite easily, so i try to take a deep breath and councel with God before choosin' my words , remember i said i TRY. Barb i love readin' your words , you always remind me that i have feelings too..thanx Doll.
