I See
29 December, 2003
Author: Clive B Ringshall
Today I looked into your eyes,
I see in you the day we met,
Your face so young,
Hair so black,
You dressed so smart to capture my heart,
I remember when,
You carried me from the church,
To our new home together,
A family we raised, Children we praised,
Now all grown, and left the nest
For them this is best,
Our busy life’s then slowed down,
Time for one another again to have,
Walks in the park, even eating out,
I look into your eyes I see all this,
I see our love that held so true,
I see our past so clear, happy days once had,
We held hands, Sad we never were,
Today I’m alone again, You left for above
I see you looking at me,
Tell me what you see?
