I Remember
29 December, 2003
Author: Clive B Ringshall
Your smile I remember at the shore that night,
As we waded bare foot in the ocean,
Did we either have a notion?
While watching that sunset,
It’s fiery red setting the sea alight,
Slowly bringing in the night,
Its wonder cast a spell on my heart,
To make mine yours,
Back we walked as we talked,
Of things we liked, hopes and dreams,
I held you chair while you sat down,
We talked some more about the shore,
I stuttered I love you very nervous inside,
Before you replied, I apologized,
You held your hand over the table,
Saying if my hand fits yours it will open some doors,
I gave you mine we began to shine,
The nervous feeling became a smile,
A smile I remember with such feeling
