Searching For Answers

Has it really come down to this?
The way I feel, unbearable?
Streams of tears down my face,
Every feeling, a feeling terrible,
I can barely see right now,
My eyes are filled with tears,
Today I realized everything,
My life is the one thing I fear,
Every person I see I hate,
Every feeling I have, scared,
Too much emotion for one,
How I feel, as if anyone cared,
I’m scared to be honest now,
I pray before I speak to you,
You’re angry with what I say,
I don’t know now, what to do,
I can’t leave you, I love you,
Am I maybe just comfortable?
Too scared to find better?
Nothing right now is understandable,
I can’t come to a conclusion,
I’m stuck, I’ve been stuck long,
God help me find an answer,
Right now I can’t move on,
I used to want to kill myself,
And then I changed my mind,
I’m back to where I was before,
A conclusion I cannot find,
I’m longing for something,
For what I do not know,
I need to find an answer soon,
Before I’ve let myself go.

This poem means a lot to me because I was so emotional when I wrote it. I really was crying and searching for an answer as I typed each letter. Sometimes you get to know yourself more when you look at yourself at your worst. |
