yeah yeah yeah.....im slow. bare with me. Ok i want you guys to think back to the last time you were actually scared. I mean genuinely scared. How did you feel? what happened?. be creative. If this topic has been done before then...well tough! im too lazy to go check all the topics again.

I lay in bed slumbering content in my dreams
when something came over me a feeling of dread
A knife continually stabbing at me
drenched in blood you kept slashing and wishing me dead

I awoke with you standing at the foot of my bed
with glazed eyes you stood looking at me with a stare
Filled with fear that I refused to show
I asked of you what you were doing there

You stood there at first, not saying a thing
then proclaimed you had heard me call out your name
I told you to get out for you didn't belong
my greatest fear actuated you were really insane

You left without incident and I barred the door
shaking inside I breathed deeply, and sighed
How long had you stood there watching me sleep
wishing in your clouded heart my death I would meet

(true story of living with my bi-polar stepdaughter who when having a "bad day" was truely psychotic and my friends and I still feel is capable of killing me. )

Darkness consumed that room
I felt i layed on a wooden board
Calves hanging off
But I was on my bed I was sure

My bedroom door twisted sideways
And into the door of a friend
I felt I walked up to it with horrible fear
Fear I wanted to end

I tried to sit up to get up and run
But something pushed me back down and held me there
Sitting on my chest, I could hardly breathe
I tried to scream but had no air

I couldn't move I couldn't shout
As evil reigned upon my room
I hoped for light, for this to be gone
I wanted to cry for this to be over soon

I tried to scream again
But only a whisper escaped my lips
...Joey...
And it was over, that was it

Everything left as quickly as it came
Evil fled as quickly as it scared
But I did not run or hide
I just continued to lay there

So happy that I could again feel my bed
So happy that darkness no longer engulfed me
I rolled over said a prayer
And, somehow, quickly went to sleep



I was so friggin scared!!!!! Which doesn't make any sense to me why I didn't get up and sleep somewhere else? blah...but yea..there it is

Very good poems Dreamer and Linzay. I let it go a little longer to see if more people would submit poems but i guess not. It was a hard choice but Linz is the winner this week
