Happy New Year To Our Armed Forces
1 January, 2004

We know you're doing a terrific job,
Trying to keep America free.
Spending the holidays away from home,
Really shouldn't have to be.

When will the whole world be free,
From wars, hunger, pain and strife?
When will we learn to treasure,
Each and every human life?

When we are born as an innocent baby,
With only love in each tiny heart.
How do we learn to hate one another,
And let that love in our heart depart?

A HAPPY WARLESS NEW YEAR is what we wish,
For you brave young women and men.
Maybe the coming New Year will be peaceful,
And we'll have you ALL home again.

I'm glad that you care the way you do. I have a cousin over seas right now.
